Inspiration

When we were brainstorming for ideas on Friday, we ended up coming up with a tool that helps teams brainstorm and communicate clearly with a group to brainstorm ideas.

What it does

Our tool allows users in a group setting to collaborate together by analyzing user text and revealing their emotions and sentiments, helping messages get across clearly and preventing miscommunication within teams. It reads individual user emotions as well as overall trends in a board session to detect emotional misalignment before it can kill team projects.

How we built it

We fed detailed prompts to CoFoundry to create the UI. Once we were satisfied with the frontend, we built the backend with node.js to incorporate our AI mood-detection features into the frontend to make a responsive website. We iterated through versions multiple times to make our color-changing and mood-detection features work the way we want and show up the way we on on the UI.

Challenges we ran into

We had weak and unreliable wifi throughout the duration of the hackathon, so we problem-solved by going to several different locations for free wifi and collaborating on one computer at times when needed. We also struggled with getting our mood-based color-changing feature to show up on the frontend, and GitHub co-pilot guided us through that roadblock during late-night debugging sessions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was our first hackathon, and we're proud of our resilience in completing a working product in time, especially because wifi issues heavily set us back. We had less than 12 hours left, no working product, and were unable to work due to wifi issues, so we switched locations last-minute and pulled an all-nighter to get everything done.
