A song recommendation for calm

Inspiration

At an instance there might be many moods we could be experiencing. But what if we try getting a pictured version of our whole mood at the moment. What if we project it on nature elements like sky, rain, birds As a kid few of us might thought of rain as someone’s weep up above. Someone who is important, significantly prominent like a protagonist in the movie. Growing up we need to understand that we as an individuals are important too and that we need to put our mental health first. For that we should analyze all the feelings we are going through at a moment in a visualized and effective way

What it does

We ask users to rate how happy ,how sad ,how energetic or how calm our users are feeling at the moment through a slider
Then we will present a gif of sky that illustrates your mood
we will suggest a song according to your mood
Finally some tips for your mood.

How we built it

Initially we started by brain storming what we can do in the limited time we have and finalized the project idea. We wanted to experiment with streamlit to learn how to deploy an app using streamlit and python. We used sliders in a form to understand how the user is feeling. Based on the slider input, we tried to determine the overall mood of the user. Depending on which the app displays a GIF and a music suggestion.

Challenges we ran into

Time restriction. Though we had two days for the hackathon, we were not able to start until Sunday morning IST due to exams.
It was challenging to deploy the streamlit app in cloud
changing theme color is disabled in deployed streamlit applications
