Inspiration
In a world where many apps collect personal information and require an internet connection, we wanted to create a private space where people can freely express themselves and understand their emotions without compromising their privacy.
Mooary was inspired by the idea that journaling and mood tracking should be simple, accessible, and personal.
What it does
Mooary is a privacy-first diary and mood tracking application that helps users:
- Write personal diary entries.
- Track daily moods and emotions.
- Reflect on personal experiences.
- Understand emotional patterns over time.
- Keep personal information private through offline-first storage.
How we built it
Mooary is built using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, allowing us to share code across Android, iOS, and desktop platforms while maintaining a consistent user experience.
We focused on offline-first architecture, privacy, and a clean interface to make journaling effortless.
Challenges we faced
One of our biggest challenges was designing a cross-platform architecture that maintains a consistent experience while respecting the differences between platforms.
We also focused on keeping the application functional without an internet connection and ensuring that personal journal data remains private.
What's next
We plan to improve mood analytics, introduce richer journaling experiences, enhance cross-platform support, and continue making personal wellness tools more accessible and privacy-friendly.
