Inspiration

We wanted to create a game that would help improve players' mental health through receiving supportive messages from the community within the game.

What it does

A player is able to express their current emotional state, which is visible to other players, and is able to send uplifting messages to other players who might be struggling emotionally.

How we built it

Montivity is created with Unity, coded mostly in C#. The illustrations are made with Sketch.

Challenges we ran into

Our team weren't familiar with the Unity game engine, so we needed to refer continuously to the Unity documentation as we developed the game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The Montivity team is proud to have attempted to develop a game that can have a positive impact towards players' mental health.

What we learned

We learned how to familiarize ourselves with foreign tools in a short amount of time and we learned that we still have so much room for improvement in terms of our personal skills in programming, designing, and debugging.

What's next for Montivity

We plan to create separate branches of Montivity and see how far each of us can take this project to. Ideally, one of us should be able to fully develop Montivity.
