Inspiration
After using google sheets for a while to keep track of what I spend, it felt too laborious to constantly need to input each and every value, so I decided to code a better monthly budget planner.
What it does
This monthly budget planner allows you to enter a monthly budget, and keep track of how much you spend for specific months and whether it goes over the budget or not.
How we built it
The monthly budget planner was built using react and vite.
What problem does this solve?
This website solves the issue of individuals who don’t have a good way to easily organize/plan out their purchases, and don’t want to download a purpose-built software to do so.
How does it align with the social good theme?
As this website is used to better sort out budgets, it can greatly aid people who are having difficulty keeping track of their money and help them better plan out and organize their purchases.
What we learned
A lot was learned surrounding arrays in react and how to properly manipulate them to get/set values. In addition, how to use the standard buttons in react was also learned.
