Inspiration: “Monsters” was born from Wes Scantlin’s own story, by the duality between illusion and identity — his turbulent journey through fame, self-destruction, and redemption.

What it does: The film visualizes the inner world of a rock icon. It turns Puddle of Mudd’s latest single into an immersive psychological odyssey where Wes confronts a clown that personifies his inner demons.

How we built it: We used UE for scene composition with AI-generated image to elevate the composition. We use AI tools to generate videos.

Challenges we ran into: Achieving narrative clarity through symbolic, AI-generated visuals was the greatest challenge. Integrating AI sequences seamlessly with UE environments required extensive color and motion matching. Balancing emotional depth with technical experimentation also demanded constant iteration. Make visuals be consistent.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We created a cohesive visual language that feels both cinematic and hallucinatory. The visuals not only told Wes’s story authentically but also expanded how AI can serve as a medium for emotional storytelling in music films.

What we learned: We discovered how AI can function as a subconscious collaborator — unpredictable yet deeply expressive. The process revealed new ways to use generative tools for narrative, symbolism, and emotional resonance within a structured cinematic framework.

What's next for Monsters: We’re developing a series of AI × UE music films exploring identity, fame, and human emotion through digital consciousness. “Monsters” will continue its journey through international AI film festivals, evolving as a case study of hybrid storytelling between technology and the soul.
