Inspiration
Our team was inspired by the potential applications of AR technology.
What it does
Monsters are generated with mathematics problems attached to them. When users know the answer to a math problem, they can tap on the associated monster to shoot a ball at them and eliminate them.
How we built it
We built this project in Unity 3D with the help of EchoAR for asset management.
Challenges we ran into
At the start of the project, none of us had ever used EchoAR, Unity, or C#. Over the course of the weekend, we worked to learn and effectively apply these three resources for the first time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were successfully able to create a working AR application with AR objects that move towards the user and can be interacted with.
What we learned
We learned a new programming language, C#, as well as what AR app development entails.
What's next for Monster Math
The future of Monster Math will involve improved UI, additional functionality, and a leader board element that employs databases.
