Inspiration

With this project, we were inspired by the idea of creating a language processor that could interpret large amounts of texts and reduce them to their most important components.

What we did

To accomplish this, we created an NLP summarizer that takes the most important sentences of a passage entered into our prompt UI, and outputs the critical information in bullet points at the bottom of our page.

Challenges

One of the challenges we faced was connecting our back-end text summarizer with our front-end interface. However, we managed to connect the two using Flask, which we built familiarity with through the project.

What we learned

We learned how to create projects in a team and how to manage our time well to insure a completed project. We focused on taking each step one at a time and making the project complete.
