Inspiration
As college students, we really struggle with budgeting and saving up for the future. We wanted to create a website that would help give advice to those with similar issues who don't know where to start.
What it does
Users can start their own profile and enter in their financial goals, payday, and spending habits. The chatbot will take that information, and based on what the user asks from it, it can give the user advice and a plan on how to budget or invest. (For presentation purposes, login system has been removed)
How we built it
We built it using HTML and CSS for the frontend, OpenAI API for the chatbot, and JavaScript, Python, Flask, and Postgesql for the backend.

What's next for MoneyTalks
Updating the UI/UX - a lot of buttons don't have full functionality so we would like to make those working, adding integration to bank accounts so that users don't have to manually input their spending habits, adding an option where users can add in how much they will be getting paid so that the chatbot can tell them how they should split up the paycheck
