Inspiration

We realized that most people, even smart investors, are making market decisions blind. Why? Not because they're lazy, but because reading and analyzing the daily torrent of financial news takes hours. People usually just buy or sell based on a feeling or a single headline, or they trust a generic financial TV pundit. We wanted to solve this pain point: give them the full context of the market news instantly, so they never have to guess again.

What it does

MoneyMoves solves the "too much news" problem. It instantly shows you the true mood of the market—the single, most important thing you need to know before you invest.

The Scoreboard: We give you a simple, "Positive," "Negative," or "Neutral" score for any article, right up front. No reading required.
The 'Why': If you want to know why the score is what it is, our Gemini AI gives you a lightning-fast summary of the core news stories and their emotional impact.
The Details: If you are a power user, you can click into the Gemini analysis to see the exact articles and data that created the score. It’s the quick-look tool that always lets you go deep.

How we built it

We built this tool to be fast, accurate, and simple to use.

The News Sorter: We built a system that collects thousands of articles every hour from financial sources.
The Sentiment Engine: This is where our tech shines. We trained a specialized model to read these articles and figure out the emotion behind the words (is this story optimistic, fearful, or neutral?).
The Gemini Translator: We integrated Gemini AI to take all those thousands of emotional data points and turn them into the simple summary you read. It translates complex data into simple, actionable language.
Simple Design: We focused on a clean, simple dashboard so that anyone can see the full market outlook in under 30 seconds.

Challenges we ran into

Making an AI tool simple is often the hardest part.

* Speed: To be useful, the scores need to be updated constantly. We had to optimize our system so it could ingest and analyze massive amounts of news and filter the relevant parts only.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The Clarity: We successfully took an overwhelming data problem (analyzing the world's financial news) and condensed it down to a single, clear score. That is a huge victory for simplicity.
