MoneyMap

Inspiration

Us team members have spent a lot of time managing finances using sheets, or other less than optimal methods. We wanted to build something that was simple to use, helped anyone to improve their finances, and was prettier than a spreadsheet.

What it does

MoneyMap along with Fin, your personal financial AI assistant, help you to create goals, and build actionable steps to achieve those goals. The ultimate goal being financial freedom.

How we built it

We built it using Streamlit and Supabase along side Python. We started with outlining how we wanted it to turn out, and then we split up the work and went from there.

Challenges we ran into

None of us had used wither framework before, so there was a bit of a learning curve. Some challenges included getting ChatGPT up and running, getting authentication working, and moving data from ChatGPT to the database, to the other pages in the app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how put together the project is for the very short amount of time we had to work on it.

What we learned

We learned that there are always challenges involved with picking up a new language or framework, but it can be well worth the learning curve.

What's next for MoneyMap

Right now MoneyMap is working privately, so the next step is for it to smoothed around the corners and made ready for public use.
