We all use an app called Splitwise to keep track of when we buy things for each other. Splitwise doesn't let you pay people directly through the app. When you do pay people, your bank records don't have all the transactions which led to making that payment. This limits the efficacy of analysis tools.
What it does
Pulls together your splitwise account and your bank account (Starling, in this case) and gives you analysis and prediction tools as well as the ability to pay people back.
How we built it
Python and Flask. Used Git & GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Challenges we ran into
We're usually back-end people with little experience of web apps and front-end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A functioning web-app which doesn't look too bad! Plus a really useful tool we will use in the future.
What we learned
Loads about front end and web development.
What's next for Money Badger
