Inspiration

Due to the pandemic, we thought a lot about team cooperation. We wanted to have retrospectives, standup, and backlog refinement meetings in one app. That's why we created Planning App integrated with monday.com.

What it does

Planning poker, also called Scrum poker, is a consensus-based, gamified technique for estimating, mostly used to estimate effort or relative size of development goals in software development. In planning poker, members of the group make estimates by playing numbered cards face-down to the table, instead of speaking them aloud.

How we built it

Planning Poker App was built using React. We also use monday.com API, design guidelines and Storybook. We researched a lot of monday's graphics materials to create illustrations, cards, and presentation in a similar style.

Features

Focus on the people: perfect for agile team.

Gamification: Enjoyable unbiased estimation for your planning sessions.

Real time.

Accessibility: Screen reader and keyboard navigation support.

Time tracking.

14 cards including extra: Infinity, Coffee-break and Question cards.

Product Design: Contemporary art on your screen for free.

What's next for Monday Planning Poker App

Our aim is a seamless user experience in agile product management. The next step is a synchronization with existing boards with planning results. Another topic to address is retrospective sessions. The App writes information about every planning round, that can be analyzed and improved by retro.
