Monday Item to Confluence Sync

Inspiration

I needed to go back and forth between Monday boards and Confluence pages without being able to align data properly.

What it does

Exactly what it says it does, linking a Monday Item to a confluence page, the item's column will appear along with the board's and item's names. I the data changes on Monday, it will automatically change the data in the page.

How we built it

It's an Atlassian Forge App, using node.js and react.

Challenges we ran into

There's a very low requests limit one you deploy the app. This app might need better performance capabilities, I understand there's an effort to fix this issue in the future and it'll make the app much faster and stable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a real-time link between the two platforms, no need to copy or paste data ever again :)

What we learned

The Forge platform is amazing and very "developer oriented". The tunneling functionalities are amazing but there's quite a difference performance once you deploy the app to the cloud.

What's next for Monday Item Sync for Confluence

Perhaps a two way sync where you could change the item from the confluence side (with permissions), and also SSO with Monday instead of generating a token.
