Inspiration
Hyping up your friends is actually a lot more fun than self-glorification. After a decade of Instagram, the whole “Look at this photo I took of what I’m doing” game is growing stale. In fact, it’s a bit asocial just lobbing your solo snapshots into the feed. A true social network doesn’t just make consumption social (Likes, comments, reshares), but makes creation social too by insisting on collaboration.
What it does
It’s an app where you can’t post photos of yourself. Instead, you have to tag a friend.
You basically add your friends' random photos and they add yours. Just upload, tag, and post! That's it!
Stay in the moment, this app pushes you to shoot your shot and get back to living. Compare that with Instagram, where I constantly find myself either divorcing myself from the joy around me to polish it up before sharing, or procrastinating on that final step and never actually sharing.
How we built it
It was pretty fun experience building this, we initially planned the MVP then started the front-end and then moved onto the backend and then finally Integrated it with snapkit.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating with snapkit was a little bit tough for us as we were doing it for the first time but the organisers helped us so we were able to!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building the complete app!
What we learned
The biggest thing we learned was how the snapkit works and it's really cool benefits!
What's next for MOMENTS
We think we can scale this and launch this as a startup!
