Inspiration
As audiences fragment more needs to be done to provide consumers with a unique and unifying experience. After going through the extra content offered by Universal we realised that much of the core content they create was under-utilised and would lend itself very well when embedded into games as they would aid the storytelling narrative. With a simple push notification our solution aims to fully utilise these extra bits by immersing consumers into a competitive version of the worlds they watch on the big screen. Through simple gamification another avenue is thereby created through which consumers can engage and interact with content both before and after movies have aired.
How it works
A push notification offers consumers a challenge when they enter into unique locations. After accepting consumers can compete in various challenges and win access to exclusive content or unique previews. With social triggers throughout content is created that is made to be uploaded and shared to create an even larger social impact.
Challenges I ran into
With only simple design skills we struggled to deeply integrate the various API's on offer. However after going through the extra content offered by NBC Universal, we realised that much of the core content they create was under-utilised and would lend itself very well when embedded into games as they would aid the storytelling narrative.
