Mohallay Wallay means Neighbourhood People. It is a platform that uses location based connectivity to eliminate spatial and mobility challenges of reaching out to your neighbours. It helps saves time, maintain anonymity while encouraging communication initiatives within a community.
We address the problem of human rights violation in neighbourhoods/ local communities that occur when
- Neighbours do not communicate
- Marginalized members such as victims of bullying, domestic abuse, sexual attacks cannot get help
- People are unable to physically contact their neighbours
Our target demographic includes but is not limited to, mothers, people with disabilities and crime witnesses and victims that mainly live in dense urban locales.
The platform currently uses an app for smart-phones and tablets as well as an internet website where users create a profile with a messaging system and inbox. It would utilize location services on devices. A user can select a topic or alert, set the search proximity and send out an alert. The alert starts a thread on which other users can respond.
Business can get listed on Mohallay Wallay and for a small fees send broadcasts within a certain geographic radius.
