About the Project

Inspiration

The idea for VidyaMitra was inspired by the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. Many students graduate with theoretical knowledge but struggle with interviews, resume optimization, and understanding the skills demanded by modern companies. We wanted to create an AI-driven platform that guides students from learning to employability.

What We Built

VidyaMitra is an AI-powered career readiness platform that helps students prepare for real-world hiring processes. It includes:

• AI Mock Interviews with voice/text interaction and instant feedback.
• Smart Resume Builder with ATS scoring and job description matching.
• AI Proctoring System that monitors remote assessments using computer vision.
• Skill Gap Analysis that recommends technologies and learning paths based on industry demand.

How We Built It

The system integrates modern AI and cloud technologies:

• Frontend: React for interactive dashboards.
• Backend: Python-based services for AI processing.
• Cloud Services: AWS tools such as Rekognition for proctoring and Textract for resume parsing.
• AI Models: NLP-based evaluation for interview responses and skill analysis.

Challenges We Faced

One of the main challenges was integrating multiple AI services into a single workflow. Ensuring accurate interview evaluation, reliable proctoring detection, and meaningful resume scoring required careful experimentation and tuning.

What We Learned

Through this project, we gained experience in AI integration, cloud architecture, and building scalable career tools. More importantly, we understood how AI can bridge the gap between education and real industry requirements, helping students become job-ready.
