Mobile Shield alarms and vibrate when it looses the connection with your mobile phone. The alarm sound would be set automatically to the maximum level of Gear. When you move away with your phone handset at a certain distance (vary from indoor to outdoor - for example about 20 meters in indoor areas), your Samsung Gear notification pops up, alarms with the highest volume and vibrates to notify you.
The default disconnection notification in Samsung Gear, is only a short, low volume beep sound. However, Mobile Shield alarms with the highest sound volume and vibrates constantly (repeating) untill you tap on the toggle to turn it off.
The alarm (sound & vibration) would be stopped either by a manual stop on Gear, reconnecting to the Mobile handset, or connecting to the electric charger. The sound and vibration alarms can be selected to be Off and On in the settings menu of the App. Charging option can let you choose whether the Mobile Shield be activated while the Gear is charging.
