Inspiration
Digital consent is broken at both a human and economic level. Users routinely accept complex legal agreements they do not understand, while companies bear increasing regulatory and reputational risk. At the same time, most AI-powered legal tools lack a clear, trustable economic model and rely on opaque subscriptions or centralized control.
We were inspired by the idea that consent clarity should be programmable—and that stablecoins like MNEE enable a new model where access, accountability, and automation are enforced directly by code, not by policy promises.
What it does
MNEE-Powered Legal Consent Intelligence is a system that converts unread digital agreements into clear, visual risk intelligence, with access governed by MNEE stablecoin payments.
The platform:
- Analyzes Terms & Conditions, privacy policies, and digital agreements
- Detects high-risk clauses such as arbitration waivers, liability limitations, and data sharing
- Translates legal language into plain-English explanations
- Assigns structured risk scores across key legal categories
- Uses MNEE as a programmable pay-per-analysis mechanism enforced by smart contracts
This creates a transparent flow where payment, access, and analysis are cryptographically verifiable.
How we built it
The system is designed as a hybrid intelligence + programmable finance pipeline.
Analysis layer
- Deterministic rule engine for known legal risk patterns
- AI semantic analysis (LLM-based) for nuanced clause interpretation
- Structured JSON outputs to ensure explainability and visualization
Blockchain layer
- MNEE ERC-20 integration on Ethereum
- Smart contract pay-gate that verifies MNEE payment before unlocking analysis
- On-chain transaction logs to prove access and usage events
Application layer
- Web frontend for document submission and results
- Visualization dashboards for risk distribution and clause severity
- Stateless architecture suitable for serverless deployment
The result is a system where legal insight is unlocked only when programmable money conditions are met.
Challenges we ran into
- Ensuring meaningful MNEE usage: We avoided superficial “crypto add-ons” and made MNEE central to access control.
- LLM reliability in legal contexts: We mitigated hallucinations by anchoring AI output to deterministic rule detection.
- Scope control: Legal technology can easily expand without bounds; we intentionally focused only on digital consent.
- Trust signaling: We had to clearly distinguish informational analysis from legal advice while still delivering value.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Integrated MNEE as programmable access control, not just a payment option
- Built a hybrid AI system that prioritizes explainability and reliability
- Demonstrated a real economic flow linking stablecoins to digital trust
- Delivered a complete, demo-ready product under hackathon constraints
- Designed the system to be extensible across compliance-heavy domains
What we learned
- Programmable money is most powerful when tied to clear real-world actions
- Hybrid systems outperform pure AI in high-stakes domains like law and compliance
- Judges value economic clarity as much as technical sophistication
- Stablecoins enable new trust models beyond subscriptions and centralized billing
- Simplicity and scope discipline increase credibility
What's next for MNEE-Powered Legal Consent Intelligence
- Browser extension for real-time consent analysis before users accept agreements
- Organization-level dashboards for compliance and legal teams
- Support for additional regulatory frameworks and jurisdictions
- Batch analysis and treasury-managed MNEE billing for enterprises
- Open-sourcing parts of the rule engine to increase transparency and adoption
