MLH Funky Fellows

Inspiration

Generally, we were inspired by the booming NFT market and wanted to learn how to create our own NFT collection on the Solana blockchain.

What it does

It's a dApp that allows users to mint from a collection of 50 MLH Funky Fellows and view their transactions on chain using SolanaFM. Users can also view their NFTs stored in their wallets.

How we built it

We generated our NFT collection using Hashlips art engine; deployed our NFT to candy machine using Metaplex; and built the frontend using React.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some brief blockages submitting Solana transactions but managed to solve it by delving into the Solana developer docs

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Proud that we managed to create our first NFT collection and minted our first few NFTs.

What we learned

We learned to interact with the Solana blockchain using the network's RPC nodes and creating tokens (more specifically, NFTs).
