Inspiration
Our style comes from being simple and minimal, and we were inspired by websites that follow the same design principles.
What it does
This website serves merely to present select aspects of our lives, including where we reside, our interests, and where we currently attend school.
How we built it
The Flask framework was used to link everything together. It lists the routes for each of our pages and contains key information specific to each page. Several HTML files were used to structure each page, and one main CSS file was used to customize each of the site components. We even made use of the Jinja template engine in order to reduce the amount of redundant code we wrote.
Challenges we ran into
- image display
- Git commit issues
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- limited code redundancy
What we learned
- how the Jinja template engine works
What's next for MLH Fellowship Portfolio
- add placeholders for work done during the fellowship
- updated the front-end with better visuals and animations
