MLH events chrome extension

Inspiration

As an Indian MLH student, I had to convert the time and date mentioned on MLH event pages from EDT to IST again and again. Since this hackathon is all about automation, this chrome-extension automatically converts the date and time to IST.

Learning experience

This is my first hackathon submission and my first unique project. I learned how to create chrome extensions for the first time and how to use date objects in javascript.

What's next for MLH events chrome extension

I got the idea to create this extremely late and therefore I wasn't able to add many features. Next I will create a option for users to choose their timezone so that the chrome extension can change the date and time for their respective timezones as well. The ultimate goal would be to extend this project to any general web page.
