Vazur was born out of a deep passion for baseball and the desire to create a platform that connects MLB fans with the action in real time. As die-hard baseball fans ourselves, we saw a gap in the fan experience—one where staying updated on live scores, watching game highlights, and interacting with the community all felt disconnected. We wanted to build an app where fans could come together, share their thoughts, and engage with the game, all in one place. Thus, Vazur was created, offering fans a space to stay updated with live game scores, watch highlights, post reviews, and track their favorite teams and players.
The app delivers real-time game stats through the Gemini API, keeping fans in the loop as games progress. It also integrates the Vertex API for delivering high-quality game highlights, ensuring users never miss those exciting moments. Fans can create custom teams, track their favorites, and get personalized updates that make the experience truly theirs. By using TypeScript, CSS, and JavaScript, we were able to build a robust, responsive app that provides a seamless experience across both mobile and desktop platforms. The addition of custom team creation and a review section allows users to connect and share opinions, making the app more interactive and engaging.
However, building Vazur wasn’t without its challenges. Integrating live data from Gemini and Vertex APIs in real time presented some hurdles, especially in syncing updates quickly and accurately. The need to manage constant data flow, ensure smooth performance during live games, and maintain user customization features required careful attention. Optimizing for responsiveness across different devices also took a significant amount of effort, but it was crucial to make sure the app would be accessible to all fans, whether they’re on their phones or desktops.
Despite the challenges, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. Vazur offers a fan-centered experience with real-time updates, personalized team tracking, and high-quality highlights. We’re proud that the app not only keeps fans informed but also allows them to actively participate in the baseball community through reviews and discussions. The smooth, intuitive design ensures that users enjoy a seamless experience whether they’re keeping up with live scores or watching the best plays of the game.
Through the development of Vazur, we learned the importance of reliable real-time data management, the value of personalization, and the need for careful optimization. Working with APIs like Gemini and Vertex taught us the significance of choosing reliable services that ensure a smooth user experience. We also discovered how powerful personalization is in making the app feel tailored to each individual fan, allowing them to engage with the sport on a deeper level.
Looking ahead, we have big plans for Vazur. We want to expand the features to include fan leagues, interactive polls, and even behind-the-scenes content to make the app more social. We're also considering expanding beyond MLB to cover other sports and providing even more ways for fans to connect with the games they love. There’s still so much to explore, and we can’t wait to continue evolving Vazur into the ultimate destination for baseball fans everywhere.
