Some fans might miss key moments, others want deeper insights and some just want to enjoy the game in a more accessible way. Our app was inspired by the idea of making the baseball experience fun and personalized for everyone whether they’re die-hard enthusiasts or casual followers.

Our app transforms the way fans connect with baseball by offering features that adapt to their unique needs and preferences:

  • Cross-Language Support – Interact with the AI in various languages.
  • Beginner and Expert Modes – Depth of analysis adjusts to your MLB knowledge level.
  • Upcoming & Past Games Analysis – Ask questions about future matchups or review completed games.
  • Demo/Test Mode – Tap the test tube icon to simulate a live game experience.
  • Flexible Authentication – Sign in with Google or skip registration as a guest.
  • Push Notifications – Receive real-time highlights and alerts about key moments.
  • Video Highlight Playback – Watch the best moments of each game through an in-app video player.
  • Game Subscriptions – Subscribe to specific games for notifications on top plays, final scores, and more.

With these powerful features, our app ensures fans can enjoy baseball on their own terms whether they’re fully immersed in the action or keeping up while on the move.

How we built it

To deliver a seamless fan experience, we brought together innovative technologies and leveraged the power of Google Cloud.

  • User Authentication & Security
    We implemented Auth Platform to ensure user privacy and data protection while interacting with the app.

  • Live Sports Data Integration
    We extracted real-time statistics and player data from the MLBStats API, ensuring up-to-date game insights, player stats, and historical comparisons.

  • Demo Avatars of MLB Team Mascots
    We used Imagen 3 to generate demo avatars inspired by the mascots of the main MLB teams, allowing the user to choose based on their preference.

  • Application Logic
    At the core of our system, Cloud Functions handle key business logic, process user queries, and manage data flow between components.

  • Real-Time Communication
    We use Cloud Run to manage WebSockets, enabling real-time updates and interactive user experiences, such as live chat and instant notifications.

  • Automation
    By using Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub and Cloud Tasks, we automate notifications, scheduled updates and background processes, ensuring real-time and efficient operations.

  • Machine Learning & AI
    We integrated Gemini 2.0, Vertex AI and Text-to-Speech to enable intelligent responses, voice interactions and personalized content generation.

  • Data Storage
    Firestore serves as our scalable and real-time database, efficiently managing game data, user preferences and interaction history.

By merging real-time updates, accessibility and personalization, we crafted a user-centered platform that elevates the fan experience.
