As a freelance designer and marketer looking to transition into a Product role, I thought it would be beneficial for me to learn more about the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in the Advertising space.

What I learned

Machine Learning allows the following:

  1. Personalized content
  2. Enhanced segmentation
  3. Better content performance
  4. Task automation

Artificial Intelligence makes possible:

  1. Building responsive emotional arcs in storytelling
  2. Recognition of similar emotional responses
  3. Prediction of user behavior

Together, they work in tandem to deliver targeted personalized ads that create stronger and more genuine relationships between brands and consumers.

What's next?

Ultimately, I want to continue exploring this technology, its applications, and potentially consider building a SaaS platform that would improve the UI/UX of advertisers and audiences alike. In the meantime, I will be applying the key takeaways to my internship at Connected-Stories. It is my hope that my better understanding of the platform will allow me to better connect with potential partners to grow the business in the US market.
