The Inspiration:
The inspiration for Project MJ stemmed from a desire to bridge the gap between complex backend logic and intuitive user interfaces. In the modern web landscape, scalability is often sacrificed for design, or vice versa. I wanted to build a platform where robust architecture and seamless user experience coexist perfectly, providing a solution that is both powerful and accessible.
What I Learned:
Throughout this journey, I deepened my expertise in Full-Stack development. I mastered the art of structuring relational databases for maximum efficiency and learned the importance of state management in creating a fluid frontend. Most importantly, I learned how to look at a project from the perspective of an end-user while maintaining the technical rigour of a developer. How I Built It. The project was developed using a modular architecture to ensure future-proofing:Architecture: Implemented a clean separation of concerns between the client and server. Logic: Utilised advanced algorithms to ensure data processing remains efficient, targeting a time complexity of:$$T(n) = O(\log n)$$. Tools: Leveraged modern JavaScript frameworks and backend environments to handle asynchronous data streams and real-time updates. Challenges Faced: The biggest hurdle was optimising the synchronisation between the database and the UI. Initially, high-frequency updates caused significant latency. I overcame this by implementing server-side caching and optimising my query logic. Debugging these complex data flows taught me the value of persistence and the importance of writing clean, maintainable code.
