Inspiration

The inspiration for MitraVet comes from the challenges faced by rural and semi-urban communities in accessing timely and reliable veterinary and agricultural support. In many regions, farmers and pet owners struggle with limited access to experts, language barriers, and a lack of tailored resources. By harnessing the power of AI and multilingual technology, MitraVet aims to bridge these gaps—empowering users to make informed decisions, improve animal and crop health, and foster a more connected and resilient agricultural community. Our goal is to bring advanced, accessible, and personalized agri-tech solutions to every household, regardless of location or language.

What it does

MitraVet is a comprehensive web application designed to assist rural and semi-urban users in managing their livestock, pets, and crops. It leverages AI to provide instant diagnostic support, offers essential care and farm management tools, and connects users with a local marketplace and veterinary/agricultural services.

The application is built with a mobile-first approach, featuring a clean, accessible interface and multilingual support (English, Hindi, and Assamese) to cater to a diverse user base.

How we built it

Framework: Next.js (with App Router) Language: TypeScript Styling: Tailwind CSS UI Components: ShadCN/UI Generative AI: Google's Gemini models via Genkit Database: Mock data stored in-component (simulating Firestore)

Challenges we ran into

linking api keys and deploying the app , tested the app among the farmers of assam.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we tested the app among the farmers and they loved it and told we would obviously download this if published

What we learned

I learned what kind of struggles farmers face and myself being from a farmers family i wanna eradicate all the struggles

i wanna publish this app , if it gets the recognition
