Generating notes

Inspiration

The stress of having to make notes and keeping up with screenshots taken from lessons while trying to remember and understand the work for each day in preparation for upcoming tests/exams.

What it does

The app allows you select your level of study. Then it generates notes and a quiz based on the information/topic you give it for a specific subject covered for that day. The app will grade your quiz then you may chat with the StudiParti bot for clarity on the notes and quiz generated.

How we built it

For the Demo we used AWS party rock using simple input fields and display fields. For the envisioned demo we used react native to build the front-end. We needed to know the users level of study. (High/Middle/University) Then know subjects they take. The app also require the user to state the topic covered for the chosen subject or the user can briefly explain what they learned for the day in class. From all this information StudiParti can generate notes the user can study from a quiz from the generated notes. From user can choose to retake the quiz then StudiParti regenerate the quiz to focus on weak parts of the topic.

Challenges we ran into

What we learned

How to prompt the AI tool better through trail and error. How we can intergrate AWS Textract to extract text from images of notes uploaded by the user, AWS Titan model that we can use to generate images to integrate in the notes generated. AWS command and embed we can use to summarise information provided by the user.

What's next for SERVLET

For better improvement we would allow users to state the books used that the AI tools can reference to create notes and quiz.(Paid version of course)These will allow the app to generate better mock tests to prepare for exams.

We want the users to upload those images take from the school white board (that we don't ever read) include them in the note generation and mock tests/quizes.

We want the app to allow users to interact with each other and share their generated notes and quizes.
