Mission: Veteran Transition

Inspiration

Operation code didn’t have enough people to help the veterans and mentor them.

What it does

It matches mentors with veterans who need help. Veterans can connect with trained mentors to find a career path after service and we offer training to mentors.

How we built it

We used Google Sites to build our website and added some things with html and JavaScript.

I designed the site and made the branding standards for our site and helped with the presentation.

I was Project Manager for the team.
Facilitated product idea development, breakdown into tasks. Taught the team how to do a scrum stand-up and use a kanban board to track progress. Kept the project on a timeline to deliver a working prototype. Coached the team on presentation development.

For a young team they had a lot of ideas and made a lot of progress. The biggest challenge was developing the technology and keeping focus on the big picture.
