Mission Emission

Inspiration

We were inspired by previously played text-based games and decided to make a game similar to them.

What it does

You are hired as the Mayor and you have to regulate carbon emissions while at the same time managing money and approval ratings.

How we built it

The application uses Python, and we employ Tkinter to create a GUI

Challenges we ran into

Git was being finicky at some points, and multiple errors popped up during the debugging process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to finish during our set time limit of before dinner, and we were also able to create a working game.

What we learned

We learned that sometimes, keeping it simple is best. Also, working in separate files before integrating everything together is advantageous compared to all working on the same file and causing merge errors.

What's next for Mission Emission

We plan to revisit the game and add some more functionality such as a difficulty adjustment.
