Inspiration

We didn't want to follow the same track of building an AI Therapist which have permanent lasting effects on the real patients. So we wondered if we could think of it in a new light, the opposite of how everyone else was looking at it. So this led to us making an AI Patient to help the up and coming therapist to practice with.

What it does

Our app helps anyone who wants to become therapists practice their techniques and just in general their talk with patients. So we simulate possible clients/patients they might face with real issues and the user must talk through with them and get a report when they want of how it went.

How we built it

We used React with vite for our client side and used Node + Express for our server side, all in Typescript. Moreover, we integrated Gemini to act as our AI Patient. We also had the help of Claude for AI assisted coding while still maintaining integrity of our work.

Challenges we ran into

We had problems trying to perfect the AI responses with prompt engineering and having to make UI/UX decisions which we weren't experts with.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we development an MVP for this AI Patient for future therapists to practice on in such a short amount of time were all in the span of 4 hours we went through getting the idea, to planning and then executing it to it's fullest.
