Inspiration
We were inspired by seeing the impact the vast torrent of misinformation has upon people's everyday experience on the web.
What it does
It detects when a website displays misinformation and "slashes" it out with a sword.
How we built it
We wrote a chrome extension in javascript, adding functionality for hiding misinformation and adding visuals.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out how to actually detect misinformation.

Making the actual misinformation detector more robust to adversarial input, and expanding into different areas (hate speech, sensitive topics, etc.)
