Misconceptions of Menstruation

Inspiration

Although the world is going forward, the fact that menstruation is still majorly considered something that is unusual concerned our thoughts. We also see that women face a lot of trouble regarding their menstruation as society has its own thoughts on her. There are many misconceptions about periods. So, we wanted to provide everyone with the right facts and bring awareness.

What it does

We created a website that states the facts behind some common misconceptions.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, and JAVA SCRIPT to build the website and we used the replit, a free online IDE as a place where we could develop the code and work on our website.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard to collect the right information because many sites on the web show different reasons.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to stand on our mission to provide people with the right information.

What we learned

We learned the facts about periods. We also came across organizations that are working on the same motto and we were happy to see people working to destigmatize the topic of menstruation.

What's next for Misconceptions of Menstruation

We want people to take stand on the same and let the world know that menstruation is a very common and natural phenomenon.
