Inspiration is other people who are building in public and trying new things without any coding knowledge.
What it does - It is a gamified gift card that can be manipulated based on what the user chooses at the point of purchase. I wanted an in depth social/consumer spending web app and I think I was able to pull it off.
How we built it - No coding and trying things as we went along. Everything was a new experience, especially managing my tokens.
Challenges we ran into - Not knowing how to code at all. The backend kept holding me back, so I decided to stick with a front end MVP display of my web app. I also couldn't get my demo notice to appear on the final version of my web app, but it appears in Bolt (but I eventually figured it out). Lastly, when I was finished it said that Bolt is limited when using Firefox...and it would have been nice to know earlier on :)
Accomplishments that we're proud of - Coding something tangible with Bolt! It turned out way better than I expected.
What we learned - How to overcome adversity and not give up when facing difficult challenges. Pre-planning portions of the web app really helped in describing what I wanted Bolt.new to do!
What's next for Mischief Gift Card - We want the Mischief Gift Card to supplement, or overtake, current and stale traditional gift cards. We are looking for someone to help us take this journey to the next level by helping with the backend and merchandising aspects.
