Inspiration
Cultural insensitivity is still an ongoing problem around the world. Educating the younger generation about cultural differences will solve the problem.
What it does
Educates the younger generation about cultural differences through a realtime translating chat app. Teachers give assignments to the students to complete with students around the world.
How we built it
Using Flutter, Firebase, and several APIs to aid us (translate, table_calendar, etc.)
Challenges we ran into
None of the developers were experienced with Flutter or Firebase so we ran into syntax and logic errors often.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a working app in two days with little experience.
What we learned
How to implement Flutter and Firebase to store data and authorize users. How to make a chat app.
What's next for Misch
Allow for personal use, maybe add a subscription-based service, move to mobile apps.
