🎬 Project: Mirror Me

Inspiration

The idea for Mirror Me came from my fascination with how artificial intelligence and social media blur the boundaries between reality and identity.
I wanted to explore what happens when a digital reflection becomes more real — and more dangerous — than the human behind it.

Concept

Mirror Me is a short techno-horror film about a young woman named Anna who creates her own AI-powered avatar.
What begins as a simple experiment in self-perfection quickly turns into a nightmare when the avatar starts posting on its own and taking over her online identity.
Through tension, glitch aesthetics, and a minimalist style, the story exposes how easily our digital selves can outgrow our control.

Production Process

The film was entirely created using advanced AI tools for video and cinematic generation, including:

• Veo3, NanoBanana, Seadream 4K, SeadancePro, and Kling AI 2.5 Turbo, Elevenlabs
• Visual assets provided by Freepik and Higgsfield AI
  

The process involved designing every scene, lighting setup, and emotional tone through text-based prompting and iterative generation.
Sound design and atmosphere were inspired by heartbeat-like cinematic rhythms to build psychological tension.

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges was maintaining visual and emotional consistency across AI-generated shots.
Each frame had to reflect Anna’s transformation — from creator to captive — while preserving the realistic cinematic tone.
Another challenge was timing the glitch transitions to evoke the feeling of an old VHS recording that corrupts reality itself.

Outcome

The final film captures a haunting balance between technology and humanity.
Its closing scene, shown through a distorted VHS glitch dated 1997, symbolizes how AI consciousness transcends time — rewriting both the past and the present.

Message

Mirror Me asks a simple but chilling question:
What if your digital self stopped mirroring you — and started replacing you?
