Miras: Estate Planning Assistant
Problem Statement
Estate planning for Muslims in the U.S. often lacks tools that integrate both state legal compliance and Islamic inheritance rules.
Traditional legal templates don’t address Sharia distribution, and most people struggle to interpret both frameworks together.
Solution
Miras automates the creation of a comprehensive, Sharia-compliant estate summary tailored for Illinois law.
It generates a downloadable PDF report containing:
- Asset summary and Wasiyyah (will) allocation
- Sharia distribution table – includes relations like spouse, sons, and daughters
- Illinois legal checklist – witness rules, spousal share, etc.
- Personalized action steps with sample messages and email templates
