Mirage is an AI-powered all-in-one health platform designed to explore the connection between controlled breathing, carbon dioxide regulation, and cognitive wellness. The system uses intentional breathing protocols to influence blood CO₂ levels through guided respiratory patterns, aiming to replicate aspects of the brain’s natural glymphatic clearance process that occurs during deep sleep. By analyzing breathing cadence, oxygen-carbon dioxide balance, and user feedback, Mirage delivers personalized breathing sessions designed around relaxation, stress reduction, and potential support for maintaining healthy neurological function.

Beyond respiratory training, Mirage integrates adaptive sound therapy to address emotional regulation challenges often associated with memory-related conditions. The platform uses carefully selected audio frequencies, sound patterns, and calming environments to help regulate stress responses, reduce agitation, and stabilize mood fluctuations. By combining user-reported emotional states with session data, Mirage dynamically adjusts sound recommendations to create a more personalized therapeutic experience rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Building Mirage required a complex full-stack architecture combining SwiftUI, TypeScript, and Python-based machine learning systems. The mobile application was developed in SwiftUI to provide an intuitive health interface with real-time breathing guidance, session tracking, and interactive visual feedback. TypeScript was used for scalable backend communication and application logic, while Python handled data processing, algorithm development, and intelligent personalization models. The system integrates multiple components including respiratory pattern analysis, audio recommendation algorithms, user-state tracking, and secure data pipelines to create a seamless experience that bridges software engineering with emerging digital health research.
