The idea was to create a unique AR fashion experience for Christmas and New Year's eve. It was designed to be something that doesn't necessarily replicate how clothing behaves in the physical world, but still looks like a fashionable and wearable garment.

I created a wearable try-on skirt with organically animated shape ( modeling) animated video texture (digital textile design) which comes in two design options for various lighting conditions, like a day light and night club environment.

The process: First I modeled a skirt in Browzwear program, then two meshes ( closed and open) version exported from BW in fbx format for additional modifications in blender where blend shapes animations applied for on the model. At the same time, based on 2D UV maps video textures created and adjusted upon the circular 2d uv map / pattern. Everything consolidated in lens studio where two additional scripts created and adjusted: one for texture switch and the second for the blend shapes animation. Snowflakes effect added from LS resources and colors adjusted to the design.

The challenge: Creating and adjusting the scripts

Published just at Dec 30 Miracle skirt already reached almost 200K views and plays an snapchat! Besides that I think that this work gather in a most condensed way all my experience in digital fashion and open totally new pandora box with a great potential!

I learned a lot of new things doing this project. I especially excited about implementing a blend shapes animations as an integral part of digital and AR fashion design.

To take what I have learn to the next level in terms of complicity, creating a magic AR dream fashion lenses!
