Swipe the menu!
Tired but at that point still alive.

Inspiration

Make it easy as a couple of swipes to get a personalized menu plan and shopping list for the week.

What it does

Recommends recipes according to the users preferences and restrictions and then have the user swipe through the recipes to choose what they want to cook.

How we built it

Design the idea and illustrate it on figma and then develop it on android studio with flutter.

Challenges we ran into

Developing the code was quite cumbersome, especially when we had such a precise idea in mind.

Accomplishments that we are proud of

Our app even if incomplete and our frames on figma.

What we learned

We need more software developers especially UX/UI.

What's next for MiPlan

Refine the implementation of the app, add the purchase history of the users to suggest recipes, refine the reporting.

I was working on the backend, looking at the recipe and shopping cart data with the idea to add the consumer data as an input to optimize the app suggestions. Furthermore I was involved in conceptualization of the idea as well as in the preparation of the pitch and slides.

Just a bit of coding. Learnt to never assume that the hackathon finishes at the usual time of Sunday evening, so got caught short.

10 years in hardware and software development. 15 years in product management. And 5 years doing both at the same time.
I worked on analyzing the recipe data from migros. First on python which was alright but then again on flutter with dart, which was way less fun. I also helped to design the slides and wrote the script.
