The Spark Every developer knows the dread of the 2 AM production crash. You push a critical hotfix, GitHub Actions turns red, the site goes down, and you are left staring at thousands of lines of cryptic error logs while the pressure mounts. Traditional AI assistants can help you write code, but they are completely blind to the runtime environment. They don’t know your architecture, they don't see the CI failures, and they can’t fix what they can't deploy. We asked ourselves: What if your development environment wasn't just a passive text editor, but an active team member that watches your build and fixes its own mistakes? The Journey That is why we built KiroOps. By leveraging Kiro’s unique Spec-Driven Development and Agent Hooks, we connected the brain of the AI directly to the heartbeat of the CI/CD pipeline. During the hackathon, we put KiroOps to the ultimate test. We intentionally pushed a broken API routing change into our repository. Immediately, our automated test suite failed. But instead of triggering a human alarm, KiroOps sprang into action. An Agent Hook intercepted the failed GitHub Actions log. Instead of guessing a fix, KiroOps went back to the source of truth—reading our project's requirements.md and design.md. It realized the new code violated our architectural design for API gateway routing. Within 45 seconds, KiroOps automatically broke down the fix into a new tasks.md, refactored the broken controller, updated the documentation, and pushed a clean, self-healed commit back to the main branch
