Inspiration

I am fascinated by human behaviour, and r/place was the first instance that showed me that amazing reactions and behavious can emerge from a simple game.

So I created Minute-Long King.

What it does

Very simple, there's a throne, when it's empty anyone can claim the crown and be king, once on the throne it's a tug-of-war between the king and his people.

When the people successfully storm the throne it becomes once again empty. First to seize it becomes the new king.

This is basically a marathon, who can be the king for the longest time?

The game contains three leaderboards: Longest time as king, Highest number of crownings and Longest streak.

How we built it

I used AI to help me build the UI interface, I coded the logic of the game.

Challenges we ran into

The hardest part was settling for an idea, because in that process no idea seem "perfect" enough.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The game is complete, I am very much proud of that fact alone but I'm really excited to see what people will think of it.

Update: People have started playing it and that makes me the happiest. I got really good feedback too!

What we learned

The perfect idea is the idea you want to bring to life.

What's next for Minute-Long King

I'm convinced Minute-Long King can have a bright future, I'm hoping it will cause chaos, mayhem, rivalry, and most of all lots of fun.

Depending on how everything goes I'll add features (not too complex the game's simplicity is one of its strentgh).
