UPDATE

Due to a lack of response from Theta team, we've consolidated this project to be under one single project called Mintnite. The ThetaMinter website is currently being deprecated.

Inspiration

People in the media and entertainment industry seldom have developers at their disposal, let alone blockchain developers. These Web3 coders are also expensive to hire. Meanwhile, Ethereum gas price is still high while lazy minting technically isn't minting at all and is not decentralized.

What it does

Introducing ThetaMinter, the multi-purpose Web3 platform that empowers anyone to mint tokens on Theta blockchain with zero programming. You can mint TNT-20 fungible tokens, TNT-721 NFT tokens. And even Soulbound Tokens (SBT)! All without writing a single line of code! Plus, you don't even need to sign-up to use it. There's no additional fee, except for the gas fee. But with a low-gas EVM chain like Theta, this is not a problem.

How we built it

The entire project was built within the time period of this hackathon. You may verify via the domain name registration date (https://who.is/whois/thetaminter.com). Please kindly bear with any unforeseen bugs.

Challenges we ran into

We were unable to upload videos from our platform to Theta Video API because of a bug with transcoding at the API where three of your videos are stuck in the transcoding process for three days. We couldn't get tech support in time to delete the error. Thus, we could only demo with a video that we pre-uploaded to Theta Video API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We shall be using the prize money to maintain and develop this project further. We're proud to have thought of this idea. We were in the media and entertainment business and see a real-life need for this zero-coding solution.

What we learned

We're actually new to Theta and realized that it has a great potential to be a major chain for the media and entertainment sector.

What's next for ThetaMinter

To add more smart contracts that users can deploy without coding such as TNT-1155. To resolve the transcoding issue with Theta support team.
