Building an Hybrid Platform based on the experience I have gained over the years and combined with technologies that I have seen used in the market during my consulting gigs at Banks, Finance companies, Insurance companies, and businesses.

Inserting new technologies to these markets is difficult, I see this platform as a way to develop a solution that can be offered as Wordpress plug-in that can be adopted by a large number of Admins.

  • FileCoin and IPFS can provide a trusted ecosystem of decentralized secure storage not currently possible using Cloud Storage.

What it does

Next GEN Hybrid Web2/Web3 Platform making use of Wordpress CMS for Member Portal, and a variety of Web2 apps or Web3 Dapps that combined can be use to perform Original Documents storage, sharing, establish workflows, and replace paper copies of legal original documents when adopted by organizations.

  • The platform can be considered a Blockchain Box with a determined capacity you pay for when storing, retrieving or validating data.
  • Original documents cannot be modified, however, they can be timestamped, annotated, shared, archived
  • Storage of Files on a Designated Filecoin/IPFS trusted Blockchain is possible if required by the solution

  • Mint my site adds a feature to Download a copy of a website on a compressed File and generates a Checksum signature that can be used later as proof of ownership, copyrights, or other applications.
  • APPS and DAPPs to perform validations and operations on the minted files can be written in any language and implement different workflows based on the SmartContrac or platform features offered once a document has been minted.
  • The concept of Workflows offer a predetermined set of actions to perform on a file. One example could be a special event ticket/token minted , a Workflow could be used to Scan, Validate the Scan Against the Original, Burn the token or Write a flag somewhere to expire the validity of the Minted file. Another sample is providing ID for opening a bank account: Share the minted ID cards, the bank access the shared file and executes the validation SmartContract , the Share is destroyed.

How we built it

Intended to be the Member Power interface, it Combines Web2 stack of Wordpress CMS, MySQL Databases and MongoDB, with Blockchain Web3 stack using Tatum for multi blockchain communications, ProvenDB used for storage of Files authenticity , Filecoin/IPFS storage of large original files, SmartContract and Minted Files Interaction using a variety of Languages and Client Interfaces.

Uses Wordpress PayPal payments integration and Javascript Web3 Blockchain REST API (TATUM) to interact with 20+ other Blockchains for payment and minting capabilities.

The World Wide Web is the largest information construct built by humanity and it has had a lot of progress since its creation, it is important to understand certain aspects of the evolution of the web from web 1.0 to web 4.0

This understanding of Web technologies can be different depending on who you are, where you live, and how you use the World Wide Web but there is something very clear: at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 56.9% for the forecast period of 2021 to 2026 the global #BLOCKCHAIN market should reach $56.7 billion by 2026 from $6.0 billion in 2021. The Financial companies they are waking up to the fact that they can save up to $12 billion a year from using #blockchain.

The numbers continue, and since we must inspire ourselves onto why we are doing this Hackathon , this event in which a large number of people are virtually meeting to engage in collaborative projects about Blockchain solutions programming, in which we are starting to understand it is more that an unique opportunity to for all participants.

Blockchain total #spending on integrating blockchain into #healthcare will rise to $5.61 billion by 2025, 55% of healthcare applications will have adopted blockchain for commercial deployment by 2025.

Yes , Blockchain, many Blockchains and we are going to be part of that market, no doubt! 60% of CIOs were on the verge of integrating blockchain into their infrastructure by the end of 2020, It is like the evolution of the Cloud if you want to look at it from that perspective.

You can think of a blockchain as an append-only database that is distributed amongst a network of nodes that each store the entire transaction history of the network. As the name suggests, a blockchain is an immutable record (chain) of data packets (blocks), which contain a set of operations that document some particular action associated with the blockchain (transactions).

In the Bitcoin like blockchains, these transactions are purely financial (X sent Y N Bitcoins). In the Ethereum like blockchains, it is possible to execute a variety of transaction types through the use of programs containing rules for processing a transaction (Smart Contracts).

Ethereum: Ethereum is a blockchain-based, distributed computing platform that provides scripting functionality through smart contracts. Dapps can utilise Ethereum and associated technologies and we’ll focus on it for this series.

However, note that it is not an essential requirement: BitTorrent, Popcorn Time and Tor are all examples of decentralised applications that do not use Ethereum.

Smart Contract Smart contracts in the context of Ethereum are scripts that are executed on a global network of public nodes , the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) , and can read/write transactions from/to the blockchain. Smart contracts can be thought of as decentralised computation for a dapp; serving a similar role to an HTTP API interacting with a datastore, just not on centralised servers.

It is important to distinguish between Dapps and Smart Contracts: interfacing with data and services via contracts can be a big part of a dapp but, just as you can have a static app, a dapp can have zero contract interfaces.

How this #IPFS and #Filecoin works Fernando ? It is part of the basic understanding of how are we building our app #MINT-MY-FILES during this Hackathon:

  • When you put data in IPFS , it is available by its HASH Address or CID

  • Just like anyone in the world can put a URL into their browser and retrieve it, anyone with the CID can retrieve data available in the IPFS network

  • Filecoin on its end acts as an incentive layer atop #IPFS for people to be paid for their storage rather than participate in the existing voluntary storage system.

  • Filecoin consists of the blockchain, retrieval nodes, storage nodes, and a native token (filecoin)

We can say then that Filecoin aims to become a decentralized storage network allowing users to buy/sell unused storage on an open market. The #filecoin protocol is an incentive layer on top of peer-to-peer file system IPFS, built with a native token and distributed ledger
