Inspiration
The game was inspired by a miniagame in Machinarium, a popular puzzle point-and-click platformer.
What it does
Plays the minigame via double blinks.
How we built it
We built the pipeline using two threads, one for the Pygame game loop logic, and one for the brainwave detection. By integrating these two, we were able to pass through the actions [arrow selection] the user takes to the game logic.
Challenges we ran into
Detecting appropriate signals visible to Muse 2.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Actually being able to play the game with only double blinks!
What we learned
Detecting brainwave signals is sophisticated! And python threads in Pygame.
What's next for Minigames meets BCI
Pushing forward the boundaries.
