Inspiration

OKExChain is building an interesting ecosystem and we believe that the Minerva Wallet can help growing all the applications by providing an easy to use, non-custodial wallet for all users.

What it will do

The integration of the OKExChain into Minerva Wallet will allow the generation of 5 native accounts which can be used on other chains as well. This architecture simplifies the exchange of tokens via bridges and the interaction with many DApps, while still keeping everything separate and easy to understand. The 10 most commonly used tokens on OKExChain will be added to the wallet so that they will be shown automatically if there is a positive balance. Every other token can be added manually by the user and transfered to other accounts or used for DApp interactions via WalletConnect connections. We will test the use of the Minerva Wallet in combination with the DEFI HUB and some of the existing applications verifying if everything works as expected.

Challenges we still see

It is still hard to handle NFTs within the Minerva Wallet, but that is something we are currently working on to improve.

What we learned from previous implementations

More integrations cause also more maintainance and if a chain deviates only partially from established EVM-chain standards and tools, the development can't guarantee the best user experience for every chain. Automated token discovery is something that can be integrated if there is an Etherscan or Blockscout API to detect new tokens on an account.

What's next for Minerva Wallet - OKExChain Integration

We will look out for DApps that could be added to the Minerva Wallet service screen to assure that users can establish a save connection to their applications and manage all assets on their accounts.
