Inspiration

We all have near people who live all by themselves and need a hand from time to time, so this system allows people like us to not worry about the condition those people may have in their houses.

What it does

It monitors different cases as dangerous temperatures at the house, if that person has been trapped in a room or has suffered an accident in rooms where a camera is not recommended (like the bathroom), and if the person has fallen. With that information, the arduino calls an LLM or a VLM running inside of itself so that it can decide what to do in the different cases calling an MCP.

How we built it

We used an arduino uno q and the modulinos thermo and distance. Inside of the Arduino we orchested different AI agents to act in different danger situations for the people being monitored.

Challenges we ran into

Making the connection between the agents and with the MCU and MPU codes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to achieve our goal and send messages to the responsible por the person in the different situations developed.

What we learned

We learned a lot of how arduino boards work, how the AI agents can be used, and how an MCP system can make a guardian system a lot easier to be developed.

What's next for Minerva

The idea for Minerva is that it isn't just a guardian system. Minerva was the goddes of inteligence, and so it is this system. By changing the MCP and the data collected by the sensors lots of uses can be applied to the system. For example, plants in big cities could be monitored and watered without human intervention only when needed, saving lots of liters of water. Another example would be to monitor trash points in big cities, to inform the indicated service when a trash bin is full so that the truck can go and clean it, making it possible for the truck to not follow the same route if not needed in some points.
