Inspiration
The music industry went under for performers during the pandemic. We wanted to contribute to a social good and create something that gives power to the artist, but an easy listening format for the listener.
What it does
This application allows an artist to upload tracks and post their upcoming online shows in a pandemic friendly environment. It will take time for the industry to go back to normal and people may feel safer watching a show at home vs in a crowd. This platform allows the artist to connect with those fans. Additionally, for those who are data conscious, you can listen to music without signing in.
How we built it
We used flask framework, mongodb, and bootstrap.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out the scope of what can be accomplished in a weekend, what is feasible, and learning languages and formats we weren't already familiar with.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We wanted to create a revamped version of bandcamp that is more user-friendly and I think we accomplished that.
What we learned
new languages, teamwork, delegating tasks
What's next for Minerva Music App
