MinerHacks - Take Place

"Take Place" means the happening of news and where it happens. News are shown by its location on map.

Inspiration

People are supposed to get known of news by its location and time. Instead of reading news by words, the proposed news system show the news by its location and date. A map with news taking place at its location will come to your mind, and you can recall news much easier.

What it does

Organize and show news by its location and time as people's mind.

How we built it

Django+mongodb. Build the database of news (from news api) on MongoDB and develop a web app to show news on google map by its location using Django.

Challenges we ran into

Build news data by its location and date Show the news on google map by its location Deploying project on AWS. Map function sometimes not working.
